Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I’d like to welcome everyone to the inaugural post of my blog, something I’ve been meaning to do for such a long time and finally got off my ass and made it happen. I’m going to try my best to update this at least once a week, and do a little mix of photography, book reviews, workshop updates, etc etc. Well, here we go…
Photography as an art is such a personal pursuit, but being able to share it with people and elicit emotions from them is such a powerful catharsis for me.
Each year I see the strides I take in the ongoing pursuit of my photographic journey, in developing my story and style. As I look towards the future, I get more and more excited as there are certain milestones and achievements I know that are “set” for me, through teaching workshops, trave and other events. It’s the “TBD” part of it all that I’m more excited about. The spaces in between. That is where I feel the magic will really happen, as it is unknown and up to me – and me alone – to fill.
I’d love to thank everyone for all the support, not just in the last year, but through all the years. It means so much to me, more than you could possibly imagine. Thanks to the convenience of scheduled posts, I’m currently somewhere deep in Botswana without internet access, but I’m able to post this here and wish you all a very Happy New year. All the best in 2018.
